Optimize Performance While Keeping Visual Quality
Identify Performance Bottlenecks
AuraLite Shaders is designed for high performance, but you can fine-tune further. Check your frame rate in different environments—forests, water, and night skies stress the shader differently.
Reduce Demanding Effects
Start by disabling these features in order of impact:
- Anti-aliasing: Provides smooth edges but costs the most performance
- Volumetric Clouds: Beautiful but computationally expensive; disable for a flat sky
- Bloom Effect: Soft but optional; turning it off helps on older cards
- Sun Rays: Visually striking but can be toggled off for better frame rates
Keep Core Lighting
The base realistic lighting and shadow system runs efficiently. Keep these enabled for the best visual-to-performance ratio. Water and lava fixes are lightweight and won't noticeably impact frame rate.
Test Your Setup
After each change, fly around different biomes and check your frame rate. Find the balance between visual appeal and smooth gameplay that works for your system.
