Match Your Armor to Surroundings

The camouflage system rewards you for blending in with your environment. Equip armor that matches the color and material of nearby blocks. For example, wear stone-colored armor in rocky terrain or wood-toned gear in forests. The better your match, the less likely mobs are to spot you.

Apply Camouflage Materials

You can enhance your disguise by applying materials like mud to your armor or clothing. This adds an extra layer of concealment and makes detection more difficult, especially when combined with appropriate armor choices.

Combine With Other Stealth Tactics

Camouflage works best alongside silent movement and proper positioning. Hide in areas where your equipped armor naturally blends—stand among stone blocks while wearing stone armor, or hide in vegetation while wearing earth tones. Avoid moving into areas where your camouflage becomes ineffective.

Reapply as Needed

Camouflage materials may wear off or become less effective over time or after combat. Reapply materials when you plan to hide again, especially before entering new biomes with different block colors.
