Understand Eclipse Mechanics

Solar eclipses in Atmospheric Zenith darken the sky during daytime, allowing hostile mobs to spawn normally. This creates a dangerous window where skeletons, creepers, and zombies roam freely even when the sun is visible.

Defense Strategies

Before an eclipse occurs:

• Build walls or a roof over outdoor areas where you spend time during the day
• Stock up on torches and place them around your base perimeter—mobs still avoid well-lit areas even during eclipses
• Keep a sword and armor readily accessible near your crafting area
• Consider building an underground base or creating covered walkways between structures

During an eclipse:

• Stay indoors or in well-lit areas when possible
• If you must venture outside, bring a shield and full armor
• Use the darkness to your advantage by hunting mobs for drops, but stay alert
• The eclipse will eventually pass—if you're unprepared, hide until daylight returns

Use the command /betterweather eclipse start to trigger an eclipse whenever you want to practice your defenses or test your base's lighting setup.
