Optimize Performance on Medium-End Hardware
Check Current Performance
Launch Minecraft with AstralCore V2 active and open the debug screen (F3) to monitor frame rate. If you're experiencing stuttering or low FPS, the shader may need optimization.
Reduce Shader Quality Settings
Access Shader Options and look for quality or performance tiers:
- Lower shadow resolution or distance
- Disable advanced lighting effects if available
- Reduce reflection or ambient occlusion quality
- Turn off volumetric effects or fog enhancements
Adjust Minecraft Video Settings
Beyond the shader menu, ensure your base game settings support smooth play:
- Set render distance to 12–16 chunks
- Use Fast graphics mode
- Disable smooth lighting if performance is critical
- Lower entity shadows if present
Monitor and Iterate
Test each change and observe FPS impact. AstralCore V2 is designed for medium-end systems, so you should achieve playable framerates without extreme compromises. If performance remains poor, consider using a lighter shader or upgrading your graphics driver.
