Understand Why Arrows Disappear from Mobs
Natural Arrow Despawn
Arrows stuck in mobs will eventually disappear. This happens when:
- The mob dies and its body despawns
- The mob travels far away from you (outside render distance)
- Significant time passes in the game world
This is normal behavior and matches how arrows work on player bodies in vanilla Minecraft.
Arrows vs. Mob Behavior
Arrows stuck in mobs are purely visual and don't affect gameplay. The mob's movement, attack speed, or damage output remains unchanged—the arrows are just for show. A zombie with five arrows in it moves and attacks exactly like a zombie with no arrows.
Respawning Mobs
If you kill a mob and it respawns, the new mob will spawn without arrows. Only active, living mobs can display arrows from your shots. This keeps the visual effect from cluttering your world with permanent arrow decorations.
