Understand Armor Effects on Combat Difficulty
How Armor Changes Damage Taken
Armored mobs in this mod wear functional armor that reduces incoming damage, similar to player armor mechanics. This means:
- Armored enemies take significantly longer to defeat than unarmored variants
- Armor type affects protection level (golden armor provides less defense than iron or diamond)
- Armor durability degrades during combat, but mobs don't drop broken gear
Adjust Your Strategy
Combat encounters become more resource-intensive:
- Bring more food and healing potions for extended fights
- Use weapons with high damage output or enchantments like Sharpness
- Consider armor-piercing tactics: fire damage, poison effects, or high-velocity projectiles
- Group combat becomes riskier since armored mobs survive longer and deal more cumulative damage
Difficulty Scaling
Armored foes scale with difficulty settings. On higher difficulties, expect more frequent armor spawns and potentially better-quality gear. Plan your base defenses and combat preparations accordingly—what works on Normal may fail on Hard.
