Prepare for Armored Illager Raids

Gear Up Before Raid Waves

Armored illagers spawn during raids with equipped armor, making them significantly tougher than vanilla variants. Prepare your equipment before triggering a raid by sleeping near a village or using a raid farm.

Recommended loadout:

• Bring a sword with high damage or sharpness enchantments to break through their armor faster
• Wear full armor yourself—armored illagers deal more damage
• Stock healing potions; armored captains and witches are particularly dangerous
• Consider a bow for ranged damage, especially against armored pillagers

During the Raid

Focus on eliminating armored enemies first, as their armor provides substantial damage reduction. Witches with armor are especially problematic since they heal themselves—prioritize them or use a bow to interrupt healing. Stay mobile and use terrain to your advantage. If you're overwhelmed, retreat to a defensible position and let your iron golems handle some pressure.

Armored foes drop the same loot as unarmored variants, but the fight takes longer. Plan for extended combat and bring extra supplies.
