Create a Quest-Like Progression System
Design Your Quest Structure
Use Arc's action, condition, and reward framework to build sequential objectives. Each completed objective (action + condition met) grants a reward and unlocks the next stage. Store progression state through rewards like items or status effects that mark completion.
Set Up Progressive Actions
Define multiple actions representing quest steps: gather items, defeat enemies, visit locations, or craft objects. Link each action to specific conditions—for example, "collect 10 of item X" or "defeat 5 mobs of type Y."
Chain Rewards for Progression
When a player completes a step, grant a reward that signals progress (like a quest marker item or buff). Make subsequent steps conditional on possessing this marker, creating a natural progression flow.
Enhance with Variety
Mix different action types to keep quests engaging: combine block placement, mob defeats, and item usage. Use location conditions to guide players through your world. Adjust reward values to balance difficulty and incentive.
Validate the Flow
Test the entire quest chain from start to finish. Ensure each step triggers correctly, rewards are granted properly, and progression feels natural and rewarding.
