How Anvil Repairing Works

Anvils in vanilla Minecraft are easy to wear out and expensive to replace. This mod changes that by letting you restore a damaged anvil directly instead of crafting a new one.

To repair an anvil, hold an iron ingot and click on the anvil. Each click repairs the anvil by one stage, so a chipped anvil can be brought back toward full condition over several clicks. This keeps anvils usable for longer and makes them a more practical choice for repairing your tools and armor.

Customizing Repairs

The mod is configurable, so you are not locked into iron ingots. You can add other items to the anvil_repair_items item tag to serve as repair materials. You can also adjust the level cost, the material cost, and the percentage repaired per action. This gives you control over how cheap or demanding anvil maintenance should be in your world.
