How to Obtain and Place Milk as a Liquid
Getting Milk Buckets
First, you'll need milk in bucket form. Milk buckets are obtained by right-clicking cows with an empty bucket, just as in vanilla Minecraft. Each cow gives one milk bucket per interaction.
Placing Milk in the World
Once you have a milk bucket, equip it and right-click on a block surface where you want the milk to flow. The milk will spread outward like water, following terrain and filling spaces. You can place milk on any solid surface—dirt, stone, wood, or even custom blocks.
Collecting Milk Again
To pick up placed milk, use an empty bucket on the milk source block (the block where you originally placed it). This works identically to collecting water. Milk placed this way behaves as a renewable resource once established in your world.
Tips
- Milk flows and spreads similarly to water, so plan your placement carefully
- Use milk for decorative builds, mob farms, or practical contraptions
- Unlike water, milk won't damage mobs or affect certain game mechanics the same way
