Replace the Loading Screen with a Custom Image or Video

Locate the Assets Folder

Navigate to .minecraft/config/animatedloadingscreen/ (or similar path depending on your mod version). This folder contains the animation resources used by the mod.

Prepare Your Custom Content

If the mod supports image replacement:

  • Use PNG or JPG format
  • Match the resolution to Minecraft's standard loading screen (typically 1920×1080 or your game's native resolution)
  • Place your image file in the designated assets folder

If the mod supports animated GIFs or video frames:

  • Prepare your animation as individual frames or a compatible format
  • Follow the mod's naming convention for the files

Update Configuration

Edit the config file to point to your custom image or animation file. Specify the file path and name exactly as it appears in the folder.

Test and Adjust

Restart Minecraft to see your custom loading screen. If it doesn't appear, verify:

  • File format is supported
  • File path in config is correct
  • Image resolution isn't causing display issues
