Collect Items Your Prairie Dog Digs Up

How the Digging System Works

Tamed prairie dogs automatically dig up random items every few minutes while in wander mode. They'll search the ground around them and occasionally produce items. The specific items they can find depend on your mod's configuration, but they typically unearth useful materials.

Maximizing Your Harvest

1. Set your prairie dog to wander mode in an area with plenty of space

2. Stay nearby or check back periodically to collect dropped items

3. Keep multiple prairie dogs in the same area to increase dig frequency

4. Return regularly to gather accumulated items

Note that there's a spawn limit per area to prevent lag, so having too many prairie dogs in one spot won't help. The items they dig up will appear on the ground as drops, so make sure you have space to collect them. This is a passive way to gather resources while you do other activities.
