Tame Your First Fennec Fox

Finding a Wild Fennec Fox

Fennec foxes spawn naturally in desert biomes. Search during any time of day, though you'll spot them more easily when they're active. They appear as small, tan-colored animals with distinctive large ears. Wild foxes will run away from you when you approach.

Taming Process

1. Locate a wild fennec fox in a desert biome

2. Hold any food item in your hand (bread, seeds, meat, etc.)

3. Approach the fox slowly to avoid startling it too much

4. Right-click on the fox with the food item

5. The fox will eat the food and become tamed

Once tamed, the fox will stop fleeing and can now be controlled. You'll notice a change in its behavior—it will no longer panic or run away. Tamed foxes are ready to follow commands and can be set to different modes like following you, wandering freely, or sleeping in place.

Tips

If a fox is injured, it may be harder to approach. Feed it from a distance if possible. You can tame multiple foxes to build a small pack of companions.
