Fix Magic Attacks Not Firing with Better Combat

Diagnosing the Problem

If you're swinging Ancient Elements magical swords but the magic projectiles aren't appearing, the mod compatibility issue is likely active. You'll notice the sword swings normally with Better Combat animations, but no magical blasts or effects shoot out.

Enabling the Fix

Make sure both Ancient Elements and Better Combat are installed alongside this mod. The fix works automatically—there's no configuration needed. Simply load your world and equip a magical sword from Ancient Elements.

Testing Your Weapons

1. Equip any magical sword from Ancient Elements (fire, ice, or other variants)

2. Enter combat with a mob or target dummy

3. Swing the sword normally

4. Watch for the magic projectiles to fire alongside your swing animation

You should now see both the Better Combat attack animation and the magical blast effect occurring together. If magic attacks still don't fire, verify that both mods are properly installed and that you're using compatible versions. Try attacking different mob types, as some weapons may have specific targets for their magic effects.
