Amplified Nether Mod

Amplified Nether Mod is a small, single-purpose mod that overhauls the Nether dimension. Its central change is raising the Nether's height limit to 256 blocks, giving the dimension far more vertical room than vanilla. Terrain generation is completely reworked to take advantage of that space.

A defining feature is biome layering: different biomes can generate at different elevations, so what you find near the lava seas differs from what appears higher up. This adds variety to exploration and makes vertical travel meaningful.

The mod also restores the towering mountains seen in the Nether update trailer but never added to the official game, along with new terrain types and additional biomes. The result is a more expansive, immersive Nether built around height and layered environments rather than a single flat expanse.
