Configure Music for Different Environments

Understanding Context-Based Music

The mod detects your current situation and plays appropriate music automatically. Different environments trigger different playlists or ambient sounds without manual intervention.

Setting Up Environment-Specific Playlists

1. Open the mod menu and find Environment Settings or Context Rules

2. Identify available triggers: exploration (with filled maps), deep mining (below Y level -10), darkness detection, and biome-specific conditions

3. Assign playlists to each environment type

4. Customize the transition behavior—whether music fades or switches immediately

Fine-Tuning Detection Sensitivity

You can adjust how quickly the mod recognizes environmental changes. Lower sensitivity means music changes less frequently; higher sensitivity creates more dynamic responses to your actions.

Testing Your Configuration

After setting up environment rules:

  • Travel to different locations and verify correct music plays
  • Check that deep cave exploration triggers appropriate ambient sounds
  • Confirm night-time or dark area detection works as intended
  • Ensure map-based exploration music activates when holding a filled map

If music doesn't change as expected, revisit your playlist assignments and ensure they're saved properly.
