Altered Damage Mod Guide
Customizing Damage with the Altered Damage Mod
The Altered Damage Mod lets you change how much damage players and other entities take, without touching the base game's damage values directly. Through its config system, you can set a modifier that scales incoming damage up or down, so you can make combat harsher, gentler, or anywhere in between.
A key option is the fatal damage safeguard. When enabled, the modifier is not applied if doing so would turn a survivable hit into a lethal one. This means damage sources like poison or starvation, which normally tick away at your health, will not kill you purely because of the modifier. Without this option, the same modifier could push an otherwise non-fatal tick over the edge.
Because everything is configurable, you decide whether the mod affects only players, other entities, or both, and how strong the effect is. Adjust the settings to match your preferred difficulty.
