How to Apply Your Transparent Skin and Check It in Game

After saving a skin with erased pixels, you need to load it on your account and view it properly.

Apply the skin

1. Make sure the mod is loaded. It should appear in your mod list.

2. Change your skin to the transparent PNG through the usual skin-change method for your account (the launcher's skin section or your account's profile page).

3. Choose the model type that matches the skin you made (classic or slim arms). A mismatch can make arm pixels look misplaced.

4. If your skin doesn't change straight away, fully restart the game. Skins are often cached and may not refresh while you are still in a world.

Check it in game

  • Load a singleplayer world and press F5 to switch to third-person view. You can see your own body from outside.
  • Walk in front of a different background, such as a wall or open sky. See-through areas are easiest to spot when the background is a different color from the body.
  • Look at the transparent areas from different angles. You may see the inside faces of the model through them.

The mod only changes how the game handles the skin's transparency when it renders. It doesn't add any new menus or items, so everything is done through the skin file.
