Troubleshooting Fish Texture and Model Issues
Fish Appear Vanilla or Textures Missing
If tropical fish still look like default Minecraft fish, the resource pack may not be loading correctly. First, verify the pack is in the active list in Options → Resource Packs. Try moving it to the top of the active list to ensure it has priority over other packs.
Reload the World
Close your world completely and reopen it. Sometimes resource packs need a full reload to apply custom models and textures. If the issue persists, restart Minecraft entirely.
Check Compatibility
Ensure your launcher and Minecraft version match the resource pack's requirements. Some packs require specific versions or features. If you're using multiple resource packs, conflicts may occur—try disabling others temporarily to test.
Verify File Integrity
If textures are partially broken or corrupted, re-download the resource pack. Corrupted files during download can cause visual glitches. After reinstalling, clear your resource pack cache by deleting the resourcepacks folder's cache files, then restart the game.
