Build Your First Working Plane
Gather Engine Components
Start by collecting the basic mechanical parts needed for flight. You'll need engine blocks, control surfaces, and a frame structure. Craft these using your workbench and gather wood, metal ingots, and mechanical components from the mod's crafting recipes.
Assemble the Airframe
Create a simple plane body using blocks—keep it lightweight and symmetrical. Attach wings on both sides using the mod's wing blocks or slope pieces. Mount your engine to the fuselage center. Add a cockpit block where you can stand to pilot the aircraft.
Add Control Systems
Install control surfaces like ailerons on your wings and a rudder at the tail. These let you steer mid-flight. Place a helm or control block in your cockpit so you can interact with the plane's movement. Test that all controls respond when you're inside.
Test Flight
Power up your engine and take off from flat ground. Start with gentle movements to learn how pitch, roll, and yaw work. Practice landing by reducing throttle gradually and angling your nose up slightly as you descend. Once stable, you're ready to explore.
