Travel During Daylight

Creepers only spawn at night and in dark caves. Plan your journeys for daytime when possible. If you must travel at night, bring torches and place them frequently to prevent spawns in your immediate area.

Maintain Distance

Creepers have a detection range. Keep moving and avoid staying still in one spot. If you spot a creeper, sprint away immediately—they move slower than you when you're sprinting.

Use Terrain Strategically

Tall cliffs and water bodies are your friends. Creepers cannot climb, so high ground is safe. Water slows them down. Cross rivers and oceans when possible to avoid ground-based encounters.

Carry Defensive Items

Bring a bow and arrows to eliminate creepers from range before they get close. Alternatively, carry blast-resistant blocks to quickly build a shelter if surrounded.

Avoid Caves

Caves are dark and spawn creepers constantly. If you must explore underground, light every surface thoroughly with torches to prevent spawns.
