Farm Gunpowder Efficiently with All Creepers

Set Up a Creeper Farm

Since all mobs are creepers, any mob farm becomes a gunpowder farm. Build a standard dark mob grinder—a dark chamber where mobs spawn, fall, and take damage. Creepers will spawn like any other mob.

Collect Drops Safely

Creepers drop gunpowder when killed. Use fall damage or suffocation to kill them without triggering explosions. Avoid direct combat or fire damage, which can cause them to explode and destroy drops.

Position collection hoppers below your kill chamber to automatically gather gunpowder.

Automate the Process

Add water channels to funnel creepers into your grinder. Use fall heights that deal enough damage to kill them without triggering explosions—typically 30+ blocks works well. Ensure the kill zone is enclosed to contain any accidental blasts.

Scale Your Farm

Since creeper spawn rates are now 100% of hostile spawns, your farm will produce gunpowder constantly. Build multiple layers if you need large quantities for fireworks or TNT.
