Choosing a Base Location

Select a spot with relatively flat terrain, away from dense giant tree clusters for better visibility and easier construction. Islands with natural caves or overhangs can provide partial shelter. Avoid areas with many stalactites overhead, as they create hazards.

Building and Protection

Construct walls and a roof to keep out Endermites and Endermen. Use well-lit torches and lanterns throughout your base—this significantly reduces hostile mob spawning. Create a perimeter of torches around your base's exterior.

Build elevated platforms or use water moats if possible to prevent mobs from easily reaching your structures. Stock your base with beds, crafting tables, and furnaces for extended stays. Consider building a small tower for navigation and to spot distant landmarks or resources.
