How to Use Centipede, Maggot, and Moose Ingredients Safely

Some Alex's Delight ingredients come from less appetizing sources — centipedes, maggots, and moose. Knowing how to handle them keeps you fed without wasting drops.

Centipede Legs

Kill centipedes to collect legs, then cook them to get Cooked Centipede Leg. Raw centipede legs are unsafe to eat; cooking removes the risk and makes them a usable snack or recipe component.

Maggot Salad

Maggots are a mod ingredient used in Maggot Salad. Collect maggots from their source (often rotten flesh or infested blocks, depending on the mod's setup) and combine them with salad ingredients such as greens. The salad is a way to turn an otherwise unappealing drop into a proper meal.

Loose Moose Rib

Moose drop Loose Moose Rib, which cooks into Cooked Loose Moose Rib. Cook it like any other meat before eating. It can also feed into larger recipes if the mod supports it.

Safety and Storage

  • Never eat raw centipede, maggot, or moose items; always cook or craft first.
  • Store these ingredients separately from your main food chest so you do not grab them by mistake.
  • Maggot Salad and cooked ribs are good emergency foods when better meals run out.
