From Bison to Patty

Kill or breed bison to obtain Raw Bison. Cook Raw Bison in a furnace or smoker to get Cooked Bison. To make a Bison Patty, you need to process the meat further — typically by combining Raw Bison Mince with other ingredients. Bison Mince is itself a crafted intermediate, so check your recipe book or JEI/REI for the exact combination once you have Raw Bison in hand.

Assembling the Burger

A Bison Burger combines a cooked patty with a bun and often additional toppings. Gather bread or buns, then place the patty and any required extras into the crafting grid in the shape the recipe shows. The result is a high-saturation meal worth carrying on long trips.
