Balance Day and Night Lighting with Shader Effects
Understand Lighting Preservation
Aetherial Rift Horizon maintains standard Minecraft terrain lighting while upgrading the sky. This means your blocks, mobs, and landscape retain normal brightness and shadow behavior regardless of shader adjustments.
Adjust Sky Brightness During Day
Access shader settings and look for daytime sky or ambient light controls. Increasing these values brightens the daytime sky and makes planets more visible, while decreasing them creates a more subdued, atmospheric day cycle.
Fine-tune Night Sky Illumination
Locate night sky brightness or starlight intensity settings. These control how much light the stars and rifts contribute to your overall scene. Higher values make the night brighter and more visually dramatic; lower values preserve darker, more immersive nights.
Manage Transition Effects
Some shaders include sunrise and sunset enhancement options. Adjust these to control how smoothly the sky transitions between day and night, and how vibrant the colors appear during these periods.
Test Across Full Cycles
Play through complete day-night cycles to ensure your lighting adjustments feel balanced. Check that daytime visibility remains clear and nighttime remains atmospheric without being too dark for gameplay.
