Starting Your Progression

Before you can craft better tools, you need to complete the early-game advancement chain. Open your guide book to see which tasks unlock basic tool recipes.

Complete the Foundational Advancements

1. Start by completing simple survival tasks like gathering wood, mining stone, and crafting basic workbenches

2. Check your guide book frequently—it shows which advancements are available and which are locked

3. Work through the first progression branch systematically; each completed advancement unlocks the next tier

4. Once you finish the full questline for your target tool tier, the crafting recipe will become available at your crafting table

Crafting Your New Tools

After completing all required advancements for a tier, gather the necessary materials and craft normally. The recipe will no longer be locked. Don't skip advancements in the chain—each one must be completed in order to progress to the next tier.

If you're unsure which advancement unlocks which recipe, your guide book displays this relationship clearly. Focus on one progression branch at a time to avoid confusion.
