AddonsLib Mod: What It Does and Why You Need It
A Shared Library for Addon Compatibility
AddonsLib is not a content mod on its own. It is a library mod, meaning it exists to support other mods rather than to add blocks, items, or mobs by itself. Its purpose is to make registration between mods easier, especially for addon packs built around macaw's bridges, roofs, fences, and similar building sets.
When several addons try to register their own variants of the same bridge, roof, or fence types, conflicts and duplicated work can occur. AddonsLib provides a common framework so those addons can register their content consistently instead of each one reinventing the process.
For players, the practical effect is simple: if another mod lists AddonsLib as a dependency, you install it alongside that mod. It does not need its own configuration or in-game setup. Without it, dependent addons may fail to load or register their blocks correctly. Treat it as a required supporting file, not a standalone gameplay mod.
