Additional Placements Mod: How Placement Works

Rethinking Where Blocks Can Go

Additional Placements Mod is a vanilla-lite mod, meaning it adds no new items, blocks, or recipes. Everything it does comes from changing the placement logic of blocks you already have.

In vanilla, most blocks snap to the standard grid and a limited set of orientations. This mod loosens those rules, so familiar blocks can be placed in positions and alignments the base game normally disallows. Because the block palette itself is untouched, your builds still look and behave like vanilla — only the range of valid placements is wider.

Practically, this means you can attach, angle, or offset existing blocks in ways that previously required workarounds or simply were not possible. The result is more freedom for detailing, shaping, and connecting structures without leaving vanilla-style building behind.

Since the mod only redefines placement behavior, there is nothing new to craft or learn. Just place blocks as usual and experiment with the expanded options.
