How to Enable or Disable Accurate Block Placement Features In-Game

Accurate Block Placement Reborn lets you toggle its main behaviors without leaving the game, so you can switch between "smart" placement and strict vanilla behavior depending on what you're building.

Using Keybinds

Open your controls menu and look for the Accurate Block Placement Reborn category. You'll find bindings for the mod's toggles — typically one for the smart placement timing and one for fast block breaking in creative. Assign keys that don't conflict with your existing binds, then press them in-game to flip each feature on or off.

Reading the Feedback

When you toggle a feature, the mod confirms the change. Depending on your config, this message appears either in chat or as an on-screen HUD overlay. If you don't see any confirmation, check the config to make sure confirmation messages aren't disabled and that your preferred feedback channel (chat vs. HUD) is selected.

When to Turn Things Off

Disable smart placement if you want precise, deliberate single-block placement — for example, when decorating with fragile blocks or working around redstone. Disable fast breaking if you prefer the normal creative mining rhythm. Toggles apply immediately, so you can flip them mid-build without reloading.
