Looting Chests and Maximizing Rewards

Understanding Chest Types

Each abandoned house contains multiple loot chests with different contents. The mod features three main chest categories: trash chests (containing common items like cobwebs), cobweb chests (with spider-related drops), and food chests (offering consumables). Different house types may have varying chest distributions and loot pools.

Efficient Looting Strategy

Systematically search each room and corner of the house. Open every chest you find—don't assume chests are empty based on appearance. Bring empty inventory space or a storage system to carry valuable items like iron ingots and apples. Some chests may contain multiple stacks of items, so plan accordingly.

Handling Hazards

Watch for cobwebs blocking pathways or chests—clear them with a sword or shears. Be cautious of mobs that may have spawned inside darker areas. Bring torches to light up interiors and prevent hostile mob spawning while you loot. If a house is heavily damaged or partially collapsed, move carefully to avoid fall damage.
