Create a Custom 4D Skin Pack from Scratch
Set Up Your Pack Structure
Create a folder for your skin pack containing:
pack_manifest.json(defines pack metadata)skins.json(lists skins and geometry references)geometry.json(defines your 4D model)- A
texturesfolder with your skin and cape images
Define Your Geometry
In geometry.json, define bones with hierarchical relationships. Each bone contains cubes with dimensions, pivot points, and rotation data. Reference texture UV coordinates for each cube face. Structure your bones to match your character concept—head, body, arms, legs, and any custom additions.
Configure Skins JSON
In skins.json, create skin entries that reference your geometry definition by identifier. Include texture paths and optionally add a cape reference. Ensure geometry identifiers match exactly between files.
Package and Test
Compress your folder into a .mcpack file and import it into Minecraft PE through the skins menu. The mod will load your custom geometry without requiring marketplace signing. Test bone animations, texture alignment, and cape rendering in-game.
