Comparing 3D Model Appearance Between Musket Types
Visual Differences in the Resource Pack
The 3D Muskets Resource Pack replaces flat weapon textures with full three-dimensional models. Each musket type now has distinct visual characteristics that affect how they appear in both first-person and third-person views.
Identifying Each Musket Model
Open your inventory and equip different muskets from the Musket mod. In first-person view, you'll see detailed 3D geometry, grip details, and barrel construction unique to each weapon type. The standard musket features a traditional long barrel, while the blunderbuss displays a noticeably flared muzzle. The scoped musket includes a mounted scope on top of the barrel.
Switch to third-person view (F5 key) to observe how your character holds each weapon. The resource pack adjusts player posture for each musket type, creating a more natural and realistic stance. Notice how arm positioning and weapon angle differ between models.
Comparing in Different Lighting
View your muskets in various lighting conditions—bright daylight, caves, and indoors. The 3D models cast realistic shadows and highlights that change based on light direction, making them feel more integrated into the game world than flat textures would.
