Understand When Items Appear 3D vs Flat

Where You'll See 3D Models

This pack applies 3D rendering only in specific situations:

  • Dropped on the ground — Items lying in the world display as full 3D objects with visible edges and thickness
  • Held in your hand — Tools and items you're carrying show 3D detail
  • Held by mobs or armor stands — Equipment worn or carried by entities renders in 3D

Where Items Stay Flat

To keep your interface clean and functional, items remain as flat pixel art in:

  • Your inventory and hotbar
  • Chest and container menus
  • Crafting tables and furnaces
  • Item tooltips

This design choice prevents visual clutter when sorting and organizing, while still giving you the 3D aesthetic during gameplay and decoration. You won't see 3D models in item frames either—they'll display the standard flat texture.
