Troubleshoot Missing or Flat 3D Models
Why Items Aren't Showing as 3D
If items appear flat when they should be 3D, check these common issues:
- Location matters — Items only render 3D when dropped in the world or held in hand. Items in menus, frames, or containers will always be flat
- Distance rendering — Very far items may not load their 3D models; move closer to the item
- Compatibility — Ensure no conflicting resource packs are enabled that override item models
Verification Steps
1. Drop an item on the ground and look at it from different angles—you should see thickness and depth
2. Hold an item in your hand and rotate your view—the 3D model should be visible
3. Check that the pack is actually enabled in your resource pack list
4. Try with different item types (tools, food, materials) to identify if specific items aren't working
If only certain items appear flat, those items may not have 3D models included in this pack—most standard vanilla items are covered, but some may remain as flat textures.
