Choosing Between Shader and Non-Shader Gameplay
Shader Mode: Realistic Plastic Look
With shaders enabled, the 3D Bricks REMASTERED pack shines. Light reflects off studs, colors appear glossy and dimensional, and shadows add depth. Plastic surfaces look genuinely shiny and toy-like. This mode is best if your computer handles it smoothly.
Non-Shader Mode: Cartoonish Toy Feel
Without shaders, the pack still delivers a fun, plastic toy aesthetic. Blocks appear more hand-painted and cartoonish rather than photorealistic. Colors remain vibrant, studs are visible, and the interlocking brick design is clear. This mode runs well on most systems.
How to Decide
Use Shaders if:
- Your computer maintains 60+ FPS with shaders active
- You want maximum visual impact and realism
- You're building for screenshots or videos
Use Non-Shader if:
- You prefer smoother, more stable gameplay
- Your system struggles with shader packs
- You enjoy the cartoonish toy aesthetic
Switching Between Modes
You don't need to reinstall anything. Simply enable or disable your shader pack in the launcher, then reload your world. The 3D Bricks REMASTERED pack adapts automatically to either mode.
