Getting the Best Visual Quality from 3D Models
Optimize Your Graphics Settings
To see the full detail of 3D models in this pack, adjust your video settings for maximum impact. Set your graphics mode to Fancy rather than Fast—this enables all the depth effects and shading that make the 3D blocks stand out. Increase your render distance to at least 12 chunks so you can see detailed models from a distance without them popping in too close.
Enable Mipmap Levels
Turn on mipmap levels (set to 2 or higher) to reduce texture flickering on the detailed surfaces of 3D blocks. This smooths out the appearance of small features like tools on crafting tables or books on shelves when viewed from different angles.
Adjust Brightness and Contrast
Since 3D models rely on shading and depth to look convincing, make sure your brightness is set to default or slightly higher. Avoid maximum brightness, which can wash out the shadows that give blocks their three-dimensional appearance. Test your settings in different lighting conditions—caves, forests, and bright daylight—to find the sweet spot for your monitor.
