Shadows & Ambient Light
Vanilla Minecraft has no real shadows, so adding them is the single change that most makes a build look three-dimensional. These shaders add directional shadows that track the sun and moon, soften shadow edges with distance, darken the contact points where blocks meet, and approximate indirect light bouncing into shaded areas.
