How to Fill and Use a Chemical Tank

Filling the Tank

A Basic Chemical Tank stores gases and liquids produced by Mekanism machines. To fill it, place the tank next to a machine that outputs a chemical, such as a Chemical Oxidizer or Chemical Infuser, and connect them with a Basic Pressurized Tube. The tube carries chemicals the same way Universal Cables carry energy. Once connected, the machine pushes its output into the tank automatically.

Moving Chemicals

Use a Basic Pressurized Tube to route chemicals from the tank to a consumer, such as a Chemical Injection Chamber or Chemical Crystallizer. Tubes connect on any face and will not leak; they simply move the chemical to the next valid block. If a machine is not receiving input, check that the tube touches both the tank and the machine and that the tank actually contains the chemical the machine expects.

Storage and Upgrades

Basic Chemical Tanks hold a limited volume. When one fills, place a second tank adjacent and connect them with a Pressurized Tube so the first overflows into the second. Upgrade to an Advanced Chemical Tank for greater capacity once you have the materials. Keep tanks near the machines that consume their contents to shorten tube runs and reduce the number of connections you need to maintain.
