Color Grading
Grading shaders change the mood of the image without changing how light is calculated. They apply tone mapping curves, lift or crush shadows, shift white balance warm or cool, and sometimes emulate specific film stocks or lookup tables. Because the work happens after the frame is rendered, these are among the cheapest shaders to run and the easiest to layer onto a look you already like.
