Frequently asked questions

How do I turn on the shader after installing it?
Open the Options menu in-game, go to Video Settings, then select Shaders. Find Lumeau Shaders in the list and click it to activate. You'll see the visual changes take effect immediately.
Why is my frame rate dropping after installing Lumeau?
Check your shadow quality and lighting settings in the shader options—these have the biggest impact on performance. If you're on older hardware, lower the shadow softness and reduce colored lighting intensity to regain frames.
Can I use Lumeau Shaders with other mods?
Yes, Lumeau Shaders works with most mods, but it may conflict with other shader packs or mods that heavily modify lighting and rendering. Disable any competing shaders or visual enhancement mods to avoid issues.
How do I adjust the shadow darkness and softness?
Open the shader settings (usually by pressing a key like Right Shift or through Video Settings), then look for shadow-related sliders. You can control both the intensity of shadows and how blurred or soft their edges appear.
