Story maps put narrative first and gameplay second. They deliver plot through signs, books, chat dialogue, scripted camera moves and timed events, with the player walking from scene to scene rather than solving or fighting their way forward. Many are chaptered, and several ship custom music and a resource pack to carry the tone.
