How do I get started with Sophisticated Storage In Motion?
Craft a storage vehicle by combining a boat, raft, or minecart with a Sophisticated Storage block in a crafting grid. The resulting item places the storage block directly inside the vehicle so you can access its inventory while riding or pushing it.
Can I put any Sophisticated Storage block inside a boat or minecart?
Yes, the mod supports the standard Sophisticated Storage containers like barrels, chests, and shulker boxes. Just match the vehicle type to the recipe and the storage block you want to embed.
How do I open the storage while riding the boat or minecart?
Right-click the vehicle while seated or standing next to it to open the embedded storage GUI. The inventory behaves like a normal Sophisticated Storage container, including upgrade slots if the block supports them.
Why can't I place my storage boat in water?
Make sure you're targeting a water source or flowing water block and that the boat isn't already occupied. If the boat was crafted incorrectly or the storage block was removed, the item won't place as a storage vehicle.
Do storage minecarts work on regular rails?
Yes, storage minecarts run on standard rails just like vanilla minecarts. You can push them, ride them, or hook them into rail networks, and the storage inventory stays accessible the whole time.
How do I move items between two storage vehicles?
Open one vehicle's inventory and shift-click or drag items into the other vehicle's inventory if both GUIs are open, or use hoppers and pipes to transfer between them. Sophisticated Storage upgrades like stack upgrades still apply inside the vehicle.

Yes, the embedded storage keeps its upgrade slots, so you can add stack upgrades, void upgrades, and other Sophisticated Storage upgrades the same way you would on a placed block. Open the GUI and use the upgrade slots as normal.
