A Minecraft skin is an image wrapped around a fixed box. These packs replace the box. They provide custom player geometry with different proportions, modelled hair, layered clothing, accessories and sometimes extra limbs or tails, which a skin alone cannot produce. Roleplay servers and machinima makers are the main audience, since the change is visible to anyone running the same pack.
