Frequently asked questions

How do I find Terrestria biomes in my world?
Terrestria biomes generate naturally alongside vanilla biomes, so explore new chunks rather than existing ones. If you want to preview them, use a biome-finding command or teleport to unexplored areas, since already-loaded chunks won't retroactively gain the new biomes.
What's the easiest Terrestria wood to get started with?
Cypress is the most complete wood set and grows in wetland biomes, so it's a good first target. Chop a Cypress Log, craft planks, and you can immediately make the full range of Cypress building blocks including boats, signs, doors, and shelves.
How do I grow a Bryce Tree or Japanese Maple sapling?
Plant the sapling on dirt, grass, or Andisol and give it space and light like a vanilla sapling. Bryce Trees and Japanese Maples need vertical clearance to grow, so clear leaves and blocks above them before waiting.
Why won't my Terrestria sapling grow?
Most failures come from blocked space above the sapling or planting on the wrong soil. Make sure there's enough headroom for the trunk and canopy, and that the block below is a valid soil like dirt, grass, Andisol, or podzol.
How do I get Agave and Aloe Vera?
Both spawn naturally in Terrestria's dry biomes and can be broken by hand or with any tool. You can replant them on sand, dirt, or Andisol to farm more, and they're used for decorative and crafting purposes.
What is Andisol and why should I use it?
Andisol is Terrestria's volcanic soil family, including grass, podzol, farmland, and dirt path variants. It behaves like vanilla dirt for farming and building, and its grass and podzol variants match the mod's biome palette.
How do I make Andisol Farmland?
Take Andisol (or Andisol Grass Block) and use a hoe on it the same way you'd till vanilla dirt. The resulting Andisol Farmland supports crops just like normal farmland.
How do I craft a Cypress Boat with Chest?
Craft a normal Cypress Boat first, then combine it with a chest in a crafting grid the same way vanilla boats with chests work. The same pattern applies to Hemlock, Japanese Maple, Rainbow Eucalyptus, Redwood, and Rubber boats.
Do Terrestria boats work like vanilla boats?
Yes — Terrestria boats behave like vanilla boats for riding, and boats with chests store items the same way. They're just reskinned to match each wood type, so any vanilla boat mechanic applies.
Will Terrestria slow down my game or conflict with other biome mods?
Terrestria is generally lightweight, but adding many biome mods together can increase worldgen load and cause chunk-generation lag. If you see performance drops, reduce the number of biome mods or lower your render distance rather than blaming Terrestria alone.
