Frequently asked questions
How do I turn on Name Pain Mod?
Name Pain works as soon as it's installed, so there's nothing to enable. If nameplates look unchanged, check that the mod is actually loaded and that no other nameplate mod is overriding it.
How does Name Pain decide what color a nameplate is?
It colors the nameplate based on the mob or player's current health, shifting through a gradient as health drops. Full-health targets look one way and near-death targets look another, so you can read danger at a glance.
Why are mob nameplates not showing colors?
The most common cause is another mod that also touches nameplates and loads after Name Pain, overriding its rendering. Disable other nameplate or health-bar mods one at a time to find the conflict.
Can I change the nameplate colors in Name Pain?
Yes, the config lets you adjust the color scheme and how health maps to color. Open the config file or in-game config screen and edit the color options to match your preferences.
