How do I get started with Amendments?
Amendments doesn't add a progression system, so you can start right away by crafting any of its decorative blocks. Try a carpet slab or wall lantern first, since those are the most immediately useful for builds.
How do I make a carpet slab?
Carpet slabs are made by combining carpet with a slab in a crafting grid. Place them like normal slabs to get thin carpet-topped surfaces that work on stairs and edges.
How do I make carpet stairs?
Carpet stairs are crafted similarly to carpet slabs, using carpet plus stairs. They let you carpet a staircase without the carpet floating awkwardly over the steps.
How does the dye cauldron work?
Fill a cauldron with water, then add dye to tint it. You can then dip dye bottles or items into the cauldron to color them, and the cauldron holds its color until you change or empty it.
What are dye bottles for?
Dye bottles hold dye in a portable form so you can apply color to blocks and items without carrying loose dye. Fill them from a dye cauldron or craft them directly.
How do I place directional cake?
Directional cake faces the direction you're looking when you place it, so you can orient the slice side toward a table or wall. Double cake is two cakes placed together to form a larger cake.
How do I hang a flower pot on a wall?
Hanging flower pots attach to the underside of blocks or to walls depending on placement. Right-click with a plant to put it in, and break the pot to retrieve the plant.
How do I use the tool hook?
Place a tool hook on a wall and right-click it with a tool to store the tool on display. Right-click again to take it back, which is handy for organizing a workshop.
Does Amendments work with other mods?
Amendments is designed to be lightweight and generally plays well with building and decoration mods. If a block from another mod doesn't interact with Amendments features like dye cauldrons, that's expected since only vanilla-compatible blocks are supported.
Does Amendments cause lag or performance issues?
Amendments is a small decoration mod and shouldn't noticeably affect performance. If you place a very large number of hanging flower pots or wall lanterns, they behave like any other block entities and can add up, so keep dense clusters reasonable.
