Frequently asked questions

Do I need Forge or Fabric to use BorderlessWindow?
No, BorderlessWindow is a resource pack that works in vanilla Minecraft without any mod loader. Simply drop it into your resource packs folder and activate it like any other pack.
Why do my glass blocks still have visible borders?
Make sure BorderlessWindow is enabled and positioned above any conflicting resource packs in your pack list. If you're using multiple packs, drag BorderlessWindow higher in the priority order so its textures load first.
Does this work with all types of glass?
Yes, it removes borders from regular glass blocks, glass panes, all sixteen stained glass colors, and tinted glass while preserving tinted glass's light-blocking properties.
Can I use this with other resource packs?
Yes, BorderlessWindow works alongside other packs as long as they don't also modify glass textures. If conflicts occur, adjust the pack order in your resource pack menu.
Will borderless glass affect my FPS or performance?
No, this is a resource pack that only changes textures, not game mechanics or rendering, so it has no impact on performance.
How do I make a large glass wall without it looking gridded?
Use glass panes instead of solid glass blocks—they connect seamlessly without visible borders when BorderlessWindow is active, creating a clean continuous surface.
Does tinted glass still block light with this pack?
Yes, tinted glass retains its full light-blocking functionality while the pack removes the visible border texture, giving you clean dark glass panels.
Can I see through glass better now, or does it just look cleaner?
The pack only changes the appearance of the texture—visibility through glass is the same as vanilla, but without the dark grid lines making it look cluttered.
What if I want borders back on some glass but not others?
You'll need to disable BorderlessWindow entirely, as the pack applies to all glass types at once. Consider using a different pack or creating a custom version if you need mixed styles.
Does this pack work in multiplayer servers?
Yes, resource packs are client-side only, so you can use BorderlessWindow on any server without needing permission or affecting other players.
