Do I place the lights before or after assembling my train?
Place all light blocks onto your train structure before you assemble it at a train station block. Once the train is assembled and moving, the lights will remain attached and function properly.
Why aren't my headlights switching to red when I reverse?
Make sure the lights are powered on—right-click them or toggle them through contraption controls. Also verify the lights are oriented correctly; front-facing fixtures project headlights and rear-facing fixtures project tail lights, and they swap roles automatically based on train direction.
Can I control individual lights separately or only all at once?
You can toggle individual light blocks on and off by right-clicking them directly, or manage all lights together through the contraption controls from the conductor seat.
Do the lights work if my train is moving really fast?
Yes, the lights remain fully active and attached to the train while it's in motion at any speed. They'll continue to switch between headlight and tail light modes as your train changes direction.
What's the difference between the interior lamps and the head/tail lights?
Head and tail lights are directional fixtures that project bright beams along the tracks and automatically switch between white (front) and red (rear) based on train direction. Interior lamps are designed to illuminate the inside of passenger cars and cabins without the directional beam effect.
Can I use these lights on stationary builds or only on moving trains?
The mod is designed specifically for trains and contraptions, so the directional switching and contraption control features work best on moving trains. Stationary placement is possible but won't take advantage of the automatic direction-sensing mechanics.
Do I need to power these lights with redstone or another energy system?
The mod doesn't specify an external power requirement—you simply right-click to toggle lights on and off, or control them through the conductor seat interface.
Will these lights cause lag or performance issues on my server?
The mod is designed to integrate smoothly with Create's contraption system, but performance depends on how many lit trains are active simultaneously; test with your typical train count to see if you notice any impact.
Do the lights work in both English and Spanish, or just the interface?
The mod supports both English and Spanish language settings, which applies to the mod's interface and any text elements.
What happens to the lights if my train derails or breaks apart?
The lights are attached to the train structure itself, so if the train breaks apart, the light blocks will separate with their respective train segments and stop functioning as a unified system.
