Frequently asked questions

How do I start with the BBL Strainers Mod?
Place a Water Strainer block and give it water, then put the items you want to filter into its slots. The strainer will begin working and produce outputs based on the recipe matching your inputs.
What does the mesh filter do?
The Mesh Filter lets you filter items based on the reagents you place inside it, similar to how a Water Strainer works. For example, combining lava, obsidian, and gravel can yield diamonds and iron ingots.
How do I get diamonds with the mesh filter?
Place lava, obsidian, and gravel into the Mesh Filter's input slots and wait for the recipe to complete. The exact outputs depend on the recipe configured in the mod.
Why is my strainer not producing anything?
Check that the recipe matches your inputs exactly and that any required blocks above the strainer are present. Also confirm the recipe hasn't been disabled or altered in the config.
How long does a strainer recipe take?
Recipe time is adjustable in the config, so it varies depending on your settings. If it feels too slow or too fast, you can change the completion time there.
Can I add my own strainer recipes?
Yes, all recipes are customizable through the config. You can define up to nine outputs per recipe and set the required input items.
How many outputs can a strainer recipe have?
A single Water Strainer recipe supports up to nine outputs. You can configure each output slot individually in the config.
Does the strainer need water above it?
The blocks required above the mesh and the input blocks are configurable. Check your config to see what your setup expects before assuming water is needed.
Is BBL Strainers compatible with other mods?
The mod is designed around configurable recipes, so it generally works alongside other mods as long as item and block IDs don't conflict. If a recipe references items from another mod, make sure that mod is installed.
Does the strainer cause lag on servers?
Performance depends on how many strainers are running and how complex your recipes are. Reducing active strainers or simplifying recipes in the config can help if you notice lag.
